Prefabricated steel-structure pools

Pools built the way modular buildings are built.

Factory-cut galvanized panels, bolted on site, sealed with a welded PVC liner. Built for rooftops, retrofits and projects that cannot wait for concrete to cure.

01 — What we do

Structure, water treatment and heat — from one supplier.

A pool is a box that holds water, a circulation loop that cleans it, and — if it is heated — a plant room that keeps it at temperature. We supply all three, or the structure alone.

01

Steel-structure pools

3.5 mm hot-dip galvanized panel, bolted bracing, hot-air welded PVC liner. Any rectangular or irregular shape, above or below ground.

02

Acrylic prefabricated pools

Factory-built shell, delivered with its circulation system. For villas and small hotels where the pool is a finished object, not a construction site.

03

Water treatment

Circulation, sand filtration, UV and ozone disinfection, water-quality control. Sized from the turnover you need, not from a catalogue page.

Heating

Air-source pool and hot-spring heat pumps, from 9 kW to 290 kW. Selected against the actual heat loss of your pool, not its volume.

02 — The system

Five layers, assembled dry.

Every pool is a steel box, waterproofed from the inside. The structure carries the water; the liner keeps it in. Nothing depends on a screed that might crack.

01

Base

Levelled concrete slab or compacted gravel. Flat within tolerance; no curing time needed before assembly.

02

Steel panel — 3.5 mm

Hot-dip galvanized, bolted at flanges, ribbed bracing on the outside face. Carries water load and earth pressure.

03

Insulation — optional

Added on heated pools to cut standing heat loss; omitted on seasonal or unheated pools.

04

PVC liner

Hot-air welded into one continuous skin. No joints, no reliance on the panel being watertight.

05

Water

Design depth 1.0 m or 2.0 m; other depths to project.

Wall and floor section

Section drawing, not to scale. Numbers opposite refer to the five layers.

Dry assembly

Panels are bolted, not poured. No formwork, no curing time, no site water.

Light

A fraction of the weight of a concrete pool — which is why rooftops and existing structures accept it.

Repairable

A damaged panel or a torn liner is a local repair, not a demolition.

03 — Steel, or concrete?

Both build a pool. They differ in what the site has to tolerate.

We write this comparison knowing it costs us some orders. It also means the advice on the other pages is worth reading.

 Steel-structure poolCast-in-place concrete pool
Construction timeFactory-cut panels bolted on site; assembly typically one to two weeksRebar, formwork, pour, then a curing period before finishing
Site conditionsMainly dry work; rain delays welding, not the structureWet trades; curing is sensitive to rain and temperature
Self-weightLight — accepted by rooftops, mezzanines and existing slabsHeavy — usually needs structural reinforcement, often impossible on a roof
WaterproofingContinuous hot-air welded PVC liner, independent of the structureDepends on concrete plus a membrane; a crack becomes a leak
Later modificationPanels can be cut, extended or deepenedRequires breaking out; expensive
Best suited toHotels, schools, villas, rooftops, irregular shapes, refurbishment, fixed opening dates50 m competition pools, poor ground, high water table, a client who already has a cheap concrete crew
Most of the pools we are asked to build are the ones a concrete contractor has already said no to. Rooftops, basements, existing buildings, and pools with a fixed opening date.
When we tell a client to build in concrete instead: a 50 m competition pool where stiffness tolerances are tight · poor ground or a high water table needing heavy anti-flotation work · local rules require a permanent structure for title registration.
04 — On site

From panels to water.

On-site assembly for a pool of this class typically takes one to two weeks, depending on size, site access and scope. The schedule is confirmed per project — we do not quote a fixed number of days before seeing the site.

Base and layout

Level, compacted base — slab or gravel — then panel layout marked to drawing.

Panel assembly

Floor and wall panels bolted to the bracing grid. The box is squared and levelled before anything else.

Liner welding

PVC liner hot-air welded on site into one seamless skin, then coping and decking.

Plumbing and plant

Pipework, filtration, disinfection, heating equipment set and connected.

Water and leak test

Filling, leak test, water balance and equipment commissioning.

Handover

Commissioning and operator training included. Drawings and as-built documents issued.

Support 01

Remote

Drawings, video calls and daily questions. No charge.

Support 02

Supervision

One or two technicians on site, your labour force.

Support 03

Full installation

Our own crew builds it, quoted per project.

05 — Reference projects

A hundred pools, mostly in places concrete struggled.

Client names are withheld. References and site photographs are available on request during a live enquiry.

Next step

Tell us the pool. We will quote the build.

Five things get you a real quotation instead of a range: length, width and depth; what the pool is for; heated or unheated; structure only or complete plant; destination port.
